Application

Once you’ve found a property you’d like to purchase, you’ll proceed with the application.

*If you plan to use a mortgage, additional steps may be required.

Signing the Purchase Agreement

Before signing the contract, you’ll receive a required explanation covering key details such as property registration, applicable regulations, and important contract terms, including cancellation conditions.

*A deposit (typically 5–10% of the purchase price) is required at the time of signing.

Final Payment & Registration

The remaining balance (purchase price minus the deposit) is paid, and the property registration process is completed by a judicial scrivener at the same time.

Handover

The property is officially handed over to you.

Costs Involved in Purchasing a Property

In addition to the property price, there are additional costs such as taxes and agent fees. While these vary depending on the case, they typically total around 7–15% of the purchase price. Below is an example for purchasing a 50 million yen property (building + land).
